In order to meet those goals, we have established a new training room at our warehouse in Cincinnati.

What is the Unistrut Midwest Training Room?

The Unistrut Midwest training room is a dedicated training space that is built to emulate various real-life installation spaces. With room for installing both Unistrut and Sikla products as well as operating heavy machinery, this space is exclusively for furthering the education and expertise of our team.

The training room was established in March 2024 as an initiative led by Unistrut Midwest CEO Kevin Brooks, Director of Operations Ryan Sanders, and Training Coordinator Jody Floyd. It provides an area where the team can prioritize the annual safety training for installers and warehouse employees as well as installation practice and practical training.

Ongoing Training for Unistrut Midwest Team Members

As experts in our industry, we know that we need to continue to learn new skills and refresh old ones to deliver the best service to our clients. The training room offers space to learn about new products or installation techniques, hone existing skills, and test out potential installation solutions.

This space is also ideal for annual safety training. Part of nurturing a culture of workplace safety is investing in safety training. The training room makes it easier than ever before to conduct OSHA 10 and 30 training sessions as well as scissor lift and forklift courses, allowing our team members to earn or renew their certificates.

On-the-Job Training for New Team Members

Our team is growing quickly and we are continuously hiring installation crews. To meet the standards we have set for ourselves and the quality that our clients expect, the leadership team knew we needed a dedicated training space that could benefit new hires. With the new training room, we can hire installers who have limited or no prior experience in the industry and train them on-site.

We are also working towards partnering with a technical school to introduce students to the industry while providing hands-on instruction in Unistrut support installation.
