Using lightweight, high-tensile strength Sikla beam sections to create the frame, all connections use Sikla’s signature self-formed thread technology, no through bolts, back plates, nuts, or washers required. This fastening technology results in a vibration-proof connection that, when paired with Sikla’s stepless connection, can be applied on all four sides of the siFramo beam at the same point, allowing for three-dimensional builds. 

With the frame built, pipes and cable trays are attached to the rack, lifting and installation points are established through deflection engineering, and the completed rack is shipped to your site. 

When your Sikla rack arrives on site, no expensive grinding, welding, or hot works permits are needed for installation. Using hand tools, our installation team will have your solution in place and ready to use in a fraction of the time required for a traditional steel structure. All supports and sections are adjustable in the field should changes be needed. 

Sikla’s high strength-to-weight ratio allows pipe racks to be built in lengths of 20 to 38 feet, reducing the total number of crane lifts needed for installation. And by leveraging offsite prefabrication, you can significantly reduce the number of on-site manhours needed for installation, with many solutions being installed and ready to use in less than a day. 

The speed to market of a prefabricated Sikla support structure is a game changer for projects with tight turnarounds and short timelines. Sikla racks are assembled quickly, often in a third of the time needed for traditional welded steel equivalents.
