The Value of an Experienced Team

The Value of an Experienced Team

Most companies claim that they have the best team in the business, but after decades of experience, I can confidently say that Unistrut Midwest really does have some of the most knowledgeable team members in the industry. That experience is what sets us apart from other teams, and it's what you should be looking for when engaging a solution partner.

One of the key benefits of partnering with an experienced team like Unistrut Midwest is our ability to anticipate issues and answer customer questions. We can tell from a drawing when a connection isn't going to work, a detail was missed, or the product selected is not the most budget-friendly. We apply this knowledge to each of our customer solutions to help keep projects on time and in budget.

Saving Time and Money

It's not uncommon to come across a project where the customer thinks they can save money by designing their solution themselves. After all, there are only so many ways to design a catwalk. And while the customer may come up with a functional design, that doesn't mean it's the smartest solution.

We have seen customer designs that may technically solve the challenge at hand, but not in the most streamlined or economical way. The design may include awkward connections or non-standard materials that take longer to supply, simply because the customer doesn't have the same product knowledge and supply insight that we do. We have spent years perfecting our designs so that we can adapt them to what each project needs in the simplest way. By using smart components and designs, we can provide custom solutions that meet the customer's timeline and budget.

Anticipating and Resolving Complications

We also use our experience to foresee issues and accommodate them. For example, our team worked on a project that was supporting exam lights in a sports facility. The architectural drawings specified that the exam lights would be supported by a welded rod. However, the ceiling layout was in flux and would certainly be changing between when the supports needed to be installed and when the final exam lights would be installed, which would cost tens of thousands of dollars in adjustments.

Instead, our team suggested a solution that would accommodate adjustments. We designed a solution that allowed for several inches of movement in all directions to ensure that the light support would be in the center of each ceiling tile. When paired with the modular materials used, layout adjustments are easily accomplished now and into the future, all without significant labor or additional material costs.

The initial design was a case of the customer only being familiar with welded solutions. It's easy to stick with what you know, even if it may not be the most convenient option. Luckily, they trusted our expertise, and we introduced a modular system that not only met their support needs but also adapted to their layout changes.

By partnering with an experienced team, you have access to decades of problem-solving skills and solutions. Our team's knowledge can help solve your challenges, meet your deadline, and fit your budget. Get in touch to see how we can assist with your next project.
